People Taking “The Fire Challenge” Replace EDM Fans As World’s Stupidest People

The EDM industry has been rocked to its very core this morning after news emerged indicating that EDM fans have been replaced by people taking the fire challenge as the world’s biggest idiots.

The announcement was made after an increasing number of idiots have willingly set themselves alight using flammable liquids in the latest social media challenge craze.

Leading figures in the industry, such as David Guetta and Steve Aoki, acted quickly upon hearing the announcement by calling an emergency meeting, in Skrillex’s mum’s basement, to discuss how the news will affect them.

Claude Moany, personal assistant to David Guetta, was also in attendance at the meeting, he spoke to Wunderground earlier, “Mr. Guetta and the rest of the EDM high council are really worried about the news that EDM fans are no longer the dumbest people in the world.”

“It was a very tense meeting,” claimed Mr.Moany. “It started, like any EDM high council meeting, with a game of musical chairs, then Skrillex’s mum brought out some juice and homemade Rice Crispy squares. After that Kaskade and Hardwell argued for an hour about who has a hairier chest before addressing the plebs issue,” continued Mr.Moany before explaining that EDM producers refer to their fans as “plebs”.

The group of elite EDM superstars are believed to be worried that a rise in the level of their fans’ intelligence could see the astronomical amount of money they earn severely reduced.

“There was a lot of talk about mortgages and massive drug debts having to be paid. You could tell the guys were all really worried,” continued Mr. Moany. “But then Afrojack – who’s actually really smart with an IQ of one hundred and eighty seven, his whole shtick of being a total douche bag, idiot loser is all just for the cameras – came in and explained that it was merely a case of people setting themselves on fire actually being dumber than the plebs.”

Afrojack is then believed to have shown the other DJs a number of fire challenge videos to highlight the level of stupidity they are dealing with. He then also had to spend two hours trying to convince Steve Aoki not to make his own fire challenge video.

“Once Afrojack had assured everyone that EDM fans weren’t getting smarter and they wouldn’t lose any money the atmosphere changed and everyone was really happy. They had just started a “who can pee the highest up the wall’ challenge when I was leaving. There was also some talk of having a sleep over so I guess Skrillex’s mum will have her hands full tonight.”
