PLUR Actually Stands For Police Love Unnecessary Rampage

The EDM High Council has today distanced itself from the popular acronym PLUR after it was revealed that it actually stands for “Police Love Unnecessary Rampage”.

The acronym has become an integral part of EDM culture recently, with common belief being that it stood for “Peace Love Unity and Respect”. However, this theory has now been proven wrong after the real meaning was revealed by whistleblowing website Wikileaks.

“The first known use of the acronym was in a Facebook post back in 2010,” claimed Wikileaks spokesperson Jim Manly. “It was posted by Chris Ian Anderson, in a post that read, ‘wow I love EDM #PLUR’ the account was deleted quickly afterward and we now believe Chris Ian Anderson was actually the CIA.”

“PLUR spread quickly among the EDM community,” continued Mr. Manly. “The CIA obviously picked up on the average EDM fan’s lack of imagination and impressionability and realised that by giving them a new word, which kinda describes the effects of molly and makes them feel good about themselves, they could send subliminal messages to EDM fans all over the country.”

“It’s been very successful for them too,” he claimed. “While it may seem like a collection of harmless letters, PLUR has actually been normalising police brutality to EDM fans, or the white middle class population as they’re also known, for the last five years.”

“All we have to do is look at what the police have been getting away with recently to see just how effective it’s been.”

“The CIA’s influence on EDM became apparent earlier this year when Wunderground exposed the entire industry as a CIA plot,” claimed Mr. Manly. “and it now seems their roots in EDM are even deeper than first anticipated, questioning the credibility of all EDM artist, who weren’t really all that credible to begin with.”

According to acronym expert Noel O’Brien, or NOB as he’s known to his friends, PLUR is not the only misconception in the industry after revealing that EDM actually stands for “eventually destroying music” and MDMA actually stands for “many drugs make awesome”.
