On the menu for today’s Wunderground exclusive premiere, we have Coyu’s latest Desire EP.
After a brief hiatus, the prolific Catalan DJ and producer is back with a three track EP on his ever eminent label Suara, featuring his own usual electronic goodness along with two dancefloor ready remixes.
French producer Olivier Giacomotto has added to the percussive tension of Coyu’s original eerie groove, uniquely moulding it into a multi-synth laden beast which perfectly walks the line between cautionary futuristic tones and retro 80’s vibes.
Spanish techno aficionado Alberto Ruiz provides us with a much more tech-house infused slant on the track, transforming it into his own four to the floor groover and ensuring a dancefloor beast for the summer!
The entire package leaves us with appetising remnants of Maceo Plex’s haunting Crossfade remix, expertly blended with monster grooves and an almost New Wave feel courtesy of Daniel Wilde’s stern synthpop vocals.
Download the full Desire EP package on Beatport from April 20th, and check out this cool little video showing how the cover artwork was done.
