Steven Gerrard And Doorly To Open Scouse House Nightclub In LA

Scouse House Club LA

LA Galaxy footballer and aspiring DJ, Steven Gerrard, has announced that he is set to open a Scouse house nightclub with English DJ’s DJ, Doorly in Los Angeles.

Gerrard moved from his hometown Liverpool to LA earlier this year and has highlighted the lack of Scouse house as the only downside to living on the other side of the Atlantic.

“There’s just no good Scouse house gaffs around here at all mate,” claimed Gerrard earlier. “I’ve been asking around and all the DJs here seem to play that EDM nonsense apart from my main man Doorly so me and him’s gonna open our own place.”

“He’s not even Scouse but he’s dead good at Scouse house,” continued Gerrard who also claims Doorly is a better footballer than most of the Americans he plays with. “I’ve got to know him dead good since I’ve moved to LA, he’s like one of the family now, I’ve even started calling him our Martin, which is usually only reserved for people you’re very close to is Scouse culture. I’m really excited to be working with him and I have a gut feeling that this is going to be our year”

According to Doorly, the Scouse house market is one of the hardest to break into in the English music industry and opening a club with the former Liverpool captain could be the foot in the door he has been after for the last few years.

“Honestly, breaking America was ten times easier than breaking into the Scouse house scene,” explained Doorly during a chat with Wunderground. “I’ve been booked to play a few times in Liverpool but once they hear my Huddersfield accent they just start booing and shouting things like ‘fuck of woollyback’ or ‘jog on ye beaut‘, it’s even got rough a couple of times so I just decided to throw my hat at it.”

“I’ve always felt that Scouse house is the only true form of dance music,” continued Doorly. “So opening a club with Steven Gerrard was just too big an opportunity to pass up, hopefully now the Scouse crowds will have softened to me and I’ll be able to fulfill my dream of headlining a Scouse house night in Liverpool.”

“He’s actually quite a nice guy too once you get used to his accent. The only bad thing about him is the fact that Robbie Keane is always with him but I’ve heard he only listens to donk so there’s no way he’ll come to a Scouse house club.”
