Native Instruments have today announced that a limited edition version of their flagship controller, the Traktor Kontrol S8 Mk2, which comes with a built in time travel function that allows DJs to travel back in time and fix mistakes in their mix, will be available to buy for a short period of time.
According to Native Instruments product development manager, Dr. E. Brown, the Kontrol S8 Mk2 will allow users to travel up to five minutes back in time, allowing them to correct mistakes and rearrange their mixes.
“The S8 Mk2 will be on the market for a very limited time between now and Christmas,” confirmed the Native Instruments employee. “It has all of the features of the S8 and we’ve added the time travel feature which will allow you to correct mistakes in your set before they even happen. Making it the most complete DJ controller to date.”
“We got the idea to add the time travel feature to the controller after an S8 product testing session with Lee Foss,” continued Doc Brown. “He ended up taking a lot of ketamine and not being able to use the controller at all but when we spoke to him afterwards he was convinced the S8 was a time machine which had brought him on an all encompassing journey through the history of man.”
“It was at that point that I realised if I incorporated a flux capacitor, a very sophisticated piece of machinery that I’ve been using in a personal side project, into the S8 we could make the world’s greatest controller even better,” explained the Doc. “A couple of adjustment later and here we are unveiling it, this will change the face of digital DJing forever.”
“All you have to do to use the unique feature is get the bpm up to eighty eight and hit sync.”
According to experts, the unveiling of the Kontrol S8 Mk2 will completely eradicate mistakes from DJing, apart from Steve Aoki, who was born outside of the controller five minute time travel window.
