A man has been left “absolutely speechless” after being put on the naughty step at a techno event for glowsticks with him.
Twenty one year old American Brad Brady is believed to have been holidaying in London when he opted to attend his first “overseas rave”, believing it would be “a lot of fun” and “full of hot chicks to fingerblast”.
“I rocked up to the joint expecting there to be drunk girls kissing each other, flashing lights and lots of cake,” explained Brad. “Instead, when I walked in, it was just a dark room full of moody people wearing black. It was like a funeral; expect people were on drugs and wobbling from side to side. I tried talking to a few bros but they weren’t interested. I asked one girl if she wanted me to do a tequila shot off of her boobs to liven the place up, but she gave me a death stare.”
“Eventually I got my glowsticks out as anybody who’s anybody loves a glowstick,” he continued. “Yet, when I started moving between the crowd, a security guard grabbed me and walked me to the back of the club. He confiscated my glowsticks, and made me stand on a step. He told me I had to remain there until told otherwise. I was there for seven hours.”
Twenty nine year old Verity Serious was at the event, Wunderground asked her to explain what went on with Brad, “He was just too much,” she said. “He wanted to jump around, dance elaborately, have fun, kiss the girls and high five the guys. We just don’t like any of that. We like to stand, watch, ponder and sometimes raise an arm. That’s pretty much it really.”
“Apparently it is now a thing that rather than throwing idiots out of the event, clubs put them on the naughty step to educate them,“ she claimed. “Management think ‘education over exit’ is the answer. By keeping Brad in the club, he can learn the etiquette of techno and acknowledge in his own time, that it’s a serious, adult, genre with no joking allowed.”
