Recently crowned number one DJs in the DJ Mag Top 100 Djs poll, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, have been tipped to take 201,009,013th spot on this year’s Resident Advisor DJs poll.
The news will come as a surprise to many people in the music industry as the duo were not expected to feature on the list at all.
“I’m shocked to hear that those guys are going to make into the top two hundred and two million DJs in the world,” claimed Ian, a bemused voter from Norwich. “I didn’t think they were even DJs. I always just seen them as a novelty who promoters booked to keep children happy.”
“I’m writing their inclusion in the list of the world’s top DJs off as some sort of technical glitch,” continued Ian, who gave his vote to German DJ Dixon for the third year in a row. “Either that or they paid someone to hack Resident Advisor. There’s no way anyone with any sense would have voted for those two muppets.”
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are believed to be delighted with their first ever inclusion in Resident Advisor’s poll.
“It’s a great honour to be in with a chance of makeing the list,” claimed Dimitri earlier. “When you look at the DJs who placed around 201,009,013th spot last year, guys like DJ Warren from Belfast and DJ MadBastard from Rochester, it’s clear that we’re in really good company.”
“Now we’re gonna focus on pre-recording some really great mixes and hopefully we may even be able to force our way into the top two hundred million.”
