An electronic music artist who was able to master a full studio’s worth of extremely complicated gear, can’t quite manage to book his own flights online.
The artist, who wishes to remain anonymous, is known as a “wizard” in the studio and has had a number of very successful releases.
“I don’t know what it is, but as soon as I step into that studio it feels like the equipment is an extension of my body,” he told Wunderground. “And I don’t mean in a sex way where I’m putting my dick in it, although I am tempted sometimes, I mean like I just get it, you know, like there’s nothing I can’t do with it.”
“Nobody ever taught me how to use any of it, I’ve just got a natural talent for technology,” continued the music producer. “I’m like some kind of freak of nature, a bit like rain man, only instead of being able to count cards to make obscene amounts of money, I’m able to arrange sounds in a way that sounds OKish to make even more obscene amounts of money.”
Despite having seemingly mastered all the extremely complicated equipment, the DJ’s ability to use flawlessly master technology does not extend to using simple websites.
“Book a flight, are you mad? Sure I wouldn’t have a fucking clue how to do that,” he responded when asked about traveling to gigs. “I’ve got a tour manager who handles all that type of shit, I wouldn’t even know where to begin. Where do you even book a flight, do they have websites specifically for that kind of thing?”
“I’m actually not very good at doing anything where I’ve got to pay for things,” he continued. “Like when I’m out having dinner or having drinks, I just can’t get the hang of my credit card. People have just bought me that kind of thing over the years so I never learned how and it’s too late now, you can’t teach an old producer new tricks.”
