American DJ Kaskade has been admitted to hospital after a bizarre incident in Las Vegas’ Marquee nightclub.
Ryan Raddon (Kaskade) was hospitalised, with a suspected perforated ear-drum, after having his head lodged inside a Funktion One speaker for nearly two hours. The incident happened last Saturday night, just minutes before Kaskade, pictured above showing his damaged ear, was due to take to the stage as part of his summer residency in the Las Vegas venue. Witnesses reported seeing the DJ, 42, voluntarily putting his head inside the powerful speaker before becoming stuck.
Matt Moskhovich, an eyewitness, recounted, “It seems there was some technical problems with the sound system, the music stopped playing and there were a few guys running around trying to fix things, it was quite funny because it looked like no one had a clue what they were doing. Then this one total idiot walked up to the speaker and stuck his head inside it.”
“Next thing the music came back on and the guy was struggling to pull his head out, it was like in a cartoon when a hose is blocked and the cartoon character looks down it and gets an eye full of water. I was on the floor laughing,” chuckled Mr. Moskhovich.
An official statement from the club read, “Kaskade was unable to perform last night after becoming inadvertently trapped in a speaker, his summer residence will continue as soon as he is able to return, we would like to appologise to any customers who have been inconvenienced by these events.”
Club promoter Josh Ginkel also chipped in, “Kaskade is such a fucking idiot, I just turned down the volume but he actually thought the speaker was blocked and that the sound was getting stuck behind something. I told him to stick his head in the speaker and check if there was anything in there. What an ass! You should have heard him scream when I turned the volume back up. I love fucking with DJs there all so dumb. Last week I convinced Axwell that the best thing for your complexion was to piss on the coals in a sauna. The dumb fuck done it and sat in his own pissy steam for an hour and he’s Swedish, they invented the sauna, idiots! ”
Kaskade has been unable to comment on the incident although a source close to him has said, “He’s fine, a little shook and embarrassed but he’ll be back in no time.”
