Scores of pounds worth of food has gone to waste after a BBQ in Liverpool, England, turned into a massive drug binge.
The BBQ, which was scheduled to take place last Saturday afternoon in the house of thirty two year old Anthony Mellor, was labeled a complete failure after the guests started to take drugs before leaving the house on Sunday night without eating any food.
“Like all barbies we naturally started off with a few bevies and some crisps out the back garden,” explained Mr. Mellor earlier. “I’ve just got this boss new gas BBQ and I was dead excited to light it up for the first time but that never happened, the only thing it got used for was sniffing lines off.”
According to guests, the idea of cooking any food quickly went out the window after drugs were introduced to the BBQ at about five o’clock in the evening.
“I think the first bag of charlie came out about five o’clock,” claimed neighbour Vanessa Clarke. “You could tell straight away that the food wasn’t going to happen. Tony was already pissed and once he started doing coke he was way too busy talking about how Steve Gerrard was Liverpool’s greatest ever player to even contemplate cooking. It was a good job we’d had Doritos earlier because I hate drinking on an empty stomach.”
“Before we knew it it was twelve o’clock so we all went inside the house,” continued Miss Clarke. “Then someone went and got fifty garries and a load of ket. The only thing getting fried after that was our brains. We partied on well into Sunday night. I think someone might have rang Dominos at one stage but no food was cooked at all.”
According to Mr. Mellor, he is now the owner of about fifty burgers, ten steaks, a big box of chicken legs and two dozen lamb chops, which he claims “[he’ll] never be able to eat before it goes off”.
Mr. Mellor is already planning his next BBQ in two weeks time, where he will implement a strict “no drugs before food” policy.
