The hunt for a missing pair of wellies at Glastonbury has now entered its seventh day, according to the Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
The wellies, a pair of green Dunlop size 9s, are believed to have gone missing shortly after after ten o’clock last Friday morning.
Wellies owner Paul Knox spoke to Wunderground, “I’m so worried about those wellies, they were only new so they’re not used to the big bad world. I keep thinking about them, out there alone and scared. I really hope nothing bad has happened to them.”
“They were only left on their own for a few minutes,” explained a distraught Mr Knox. “I just popped back to my tent to pick up some drink and while I was there I decided I’d jump inside and have a quick bump of ket. Naturally I didn’t want mud in my tent so I took the wellies off and left them outside. By the time I’d taken my ket and rolled around my tent contemplating reality for twenty minutes they were gone, completely vanished, without a trace.”
“I’ve been losing my mind ever since,” claimed Knox, who has been wearing a pair of flip flops since the wellies went missing. “Every time I see a pair of green Dunlops I think it’s them but there’s just so many pairs out there, I’m not sure if I’ll ever find them, at this stage all I’m really looking for is some closure so I can go back to Norwich and get on with my life.”
Avon and Somerset Constabulary have released this picture of the wellies and asked that anyone who has any information about their disappearance or whereabouts contact them immediately.
