Bedroom DJ Burns Down House With Home Made Pyrotechnics

A bedroom DJ has had a lucky escape today after burning his house down while using homemade pyrotechnics during an improvised in house performance.

Curtis Gaffney, a.k.a. DJ Gaff, claimed that he “lost the run of himself” during an extended nine hour set in his bedroom and decided to add to the spectacle by combining his lighter and an aerosol deodorant.

“I was really feeling the music earlier today,” claimed the visibly shook DJ moments ago. “I was totally in the zone and absolutely nailing my mixes and I knew that the only thing that could make my performance any better was to add some big room production into the mix.”

“I started off by smoking about fifteen fags in a row, to give the illusion of a smoke machine or dry ice, but it just wasn’t enough to really make my set pop,” continued Mr Gaffney. “That’s when I saw the can of Lynx Africa and thought ‘what would Martin Garrix do?’ I knew straight away that I needed some pyrotechnics in my show so I got the lighter out, pressed the button on the Lynx can and sent out the coolest stream of fire ever seen.”

“At that moment I was up there with the best of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs but unfortunately my curtains caught on fire and I totally panicked and ran out of the house,” admitted Gaffney without any remorse. “Luckily there was no one else in the house and I managed to escape injury free. That’ll easily go down as one of the greatest bedroom sets of all time and it was well worth it, I’m not looking forward to having to explain it to my parents but I’d do it all over again if I got the chance.”

According to reports, Mr Gaffney sees the demise of his current house as an excellent opportunity to move on and play in some bigger and better venues.
