Scooter Still “Hyper Hyper” After Being Diagnosed With ADHD

H.P. Baxter, frontman of German hardcore dance group Scooter, has confirmed that he is still “hyper hyper” after being diagnosed with ADHD.

Baxter, who was back in the UK to collect his diagnosis, believes that his ADHD has been an asset to his music production.

“My attention deficit hyperactivity disorder has definitely helped me throughout my career,” he said during a chat with Wunderground. “Nobody wants to hear hardcore produced by some quiet person who sits in an office all day, they’d much rather listen to hardcore made by someone who bounces of walls all day and is slightly bonkers. Like me.”

“My doctor advised me to take Ritalin but I told him to fuck off, take off his shirt and wait for further instructions,” continued Baxter, who was tapping his foot on the ground at a speed of approximately ten thousand taps per minute. “I’ll medicate myself with cheap amphetamine, it’s far more fun than Ritalin and it’s more up to pace with my life.”

“I have been going to an ADHD support group though,” confirmed Baxter. “I’ve met some really great people there. I’m hoping they’ll all agree to be my friends, we’ll all be friends. Maybe we can spend a summer together, an endless summer.”

According to reports, approximately half of electronic music producers who produce music with a BPM of one hundred and twenty eight or higher suffer from ADHD, while around ninety percent of EDM producers are “brain dead mongs”.
