The theoretical all German line up of Andhim back to back with &ME has been described as the most confusing DJ line up of all time.
Fellow German DJ, and the world’s leading authority on “shit that doesn’t really matter”, Robert Babicz made the claim to a room full of disinterested diners last night, during the Annual German DJs’ New Year’s Dinner in Cologne.
“Every year, in January, all of us German DJs meet up for some food and drinks and discuss how we’re going to dominate the electronic music industry over the coming year,” explained Resident Advisor’s number one DJ Dixon. “It’s a lot of fun, it started off about twenty years ago as a small event but now there’s over one million guests. It’s huge.”
“This year Robert Babicz was our keynote speaker,” continued Berlin’s Dixon, real name Steffen Berkhahn. “He’s a great DJ and producer but he doesn’t half talk shit. The stuff he was saying was totally nonsensical, poorly structured and straight out boring, just like listening to the verbal equivalent of a David Guetta track.”
“The one thing I did find slightly interesting was when he said that Andhim playing back to back with &ME was the most confusing DJ line up of all time,” he admitted. “I started to think about and he was totally right, I just couldn’t figure it out.”
“Who’s playing with who? Am I playing? Are you playing? Is him over there playing? It’s impossible to figure out, like a quadruple negative or doing a rubik’s cube while blindfolded on ketamine.”
According to witnesses, Mr. Babicz’s speech was cut short after Dutch German impersonator Dash Berlin had to be removed from the building for trespassing. It is rumoured Dash was wearing a Bayern Munich jersey, lederhosen and drinking an “extra large glass of beer” in an attempt to “seem more German”.
