A child who was conceived at last year’s Glastonbury festival was yesterday christened Sasha Pills Ket O’Reilly.
The baby’s mother, Mary O’Reilly, claimed Sasha’s christening was the “third best day” of her life, only slightly behind the day she gave birth to the child and the day she “met Ronan Keating in a Spar”.
“It was such a lovely day, Sasha looked so lovely in her christening gown,” beamed O’Reilly. “The only down side was people coming up to me asking me where I got the names from all day, I would have thought that was pretty obvious.”
“She was conceived at Glastonbury so I thought it was quite appropriate to remember that in her name,” continued O’Reilly, a twenty five year old beauty therapist from Liverpool. “Obviously I wasn’t going to call her Glastonbury, that’s a boy’s name, so I decided I’d pick some of the highlights of the festival and name her after them.”
“I went to see Sasha play in the Glade on the Thursday night and he was safe as fuck, plus I’ve always loved the name Sasha, like that boss porn star Sasha Grey, it’s a great name for a baby,” explained Ms. O’Reilly, who claimed she would have named the baby after its father only she can’t remember what his name was. “I can’t really remember much else of the festival apart from doing pills and ket so that’s where they came from.”
“Some people said I was making a horrible mistake with the names but I don’t think so,” she continued defensively. “I think it rolls off the tongue lovely, Sasha Pills Ket O’Reilly, and I think it sounds dead classy.”
According to the birth register some other names given to babies conceived at last year’s Glastonbury festival include, Metallica Smith, Mushroom Murphy, Steven Seth Troxler Jones and Mandy Dairy Field Browne.
