An American cocaine dealer has been arrested after posting a video of himself unboxing a package of cocaine, worth over $300,000, on YouTube.
Mitchell Holmes, with an address in Jefferson City, Missouri, was arrested by DEA agents this morning, after a dawn raid on his home uncovered the sizable stash of cocaine.
According to friends of Mr.Mitchell, the dealer has become obsessed with unboxing videos, since watching a man opening a parcel containing a life sized sex doll in 2012, and thought it would be “awesome” to record himself opening a drug shipment.
“Mitchell’s not exactly the sharpest spoon in the lunchbox,” confirmed friend Steven Beavers. “We warned him about making a video of himself doing something that was totally illegal and told him, if he was going to do it, to make sure he covered his face but he just wouldn’t listen, now he’s going to jail.”
So far, Mr. Mitchell’s unboxing video has racked up a massive 1.8 million hits on YouTube, making him one of the most successful unboxers off all time.
YouTube commenter PabloE2020202 said, “Wow that guy looks happier than a pig in ocean sized shit pile, but aren’t the cops gonna know he’s a dealer? EPIC FAIL!”
Reports from inside the DEA suggest that Mr. Mitchell was recognised in the video by a former high school classmate.
“It’s probably one of the easiest busts we’ve ever made,” explained an anonymous agent. “We knew exactly who he was and where he lived. All we had to do was show up and make the arrest.”
Internet experts are predicting that another video of Mr. Mitchell, showing him being arrested by the DEA, which was leaked this afternoon, could also go “mega viral”, making the dealer one of this year’s biggest internet sensations.
