Spanish producer, Coyu, has announced plans to put his music career on hold to concentrate on his other main goal in life, becoming a cat-man.
The Suara boss spoke of his decision, “I’m not quitting music, I want to get that straight first of all. I’m just going to take a little bit of time out so I can concentrate on making myself more cat like.”
“I have been producing so much music lately that I feel a little bit of a break will be good for me. I can allow my creative batteries to recharge and I feel that building my cat-like qualities will be the perfect way to do this,” explained the prolific producer.
“I’m not going to go and have lots of plastic surgery or anything like that, at the end of the day I’m a man and I want to stay a man. But there are certain aspects of my life, which I feel can be improved by traning, that can become more cat-like,” explained Coyu.
“For example my balance and agility. Have you ever seen a cat jump? I want to be able to that shit, so I’ve signed up for an intensive Parkour bootcamp. That will be the first part of my feline journey,” he said as he gave a demonstration of his jumping skills.
“Another part of my life I am looking to change is my image. While I’m performing as Coyu I always feel that I’m under pressure to look good and have a neat appearance. This is going to be something that I am going to change while I am becoming more cat-like. I’m not going to cut my hair or shave and any other form of grooming will be done as a cat would do it. This will work out well as we move into the winter months particularly as I’ll be spending a lot of time outside sitting on walls and car bonnets,” he explained while licking the back of his hand.
“I will also be becoming very territorial, so I won’t be venturing too far from my house. This is an important part of being a cat, you have to have your own patch. I’ll be marking mine out by weeing against all of the trees and walls around my house,” he said whilst stopping to urinate against a small rose bush in his garden.
“If any other cats come into my space I will fight them. I will also only be eating meat from animals that I catch within my territory,” he claimed before ravenously admiring a small red breasted robin.
When asked how he felt people would respond to his announcement Coyu said, “It’s weird people are always asking me what is it with me and cats and I just say, ‘I don’t know I just think they’re great,’ and then they nearly always ask, is it a sexual thing? And I’m like, ‘NO I AM NOT ATTRACTED TO CATS!!’ Unless, of course, it’s Michel Pfeiffer as Catwoman in the Batman film, MEOW!!”
