A David Guetta tribute act currently touring the UK is far superior to David Guetta according to numerous music experts and anyone who isn’t deaf.
The tribute act, David Bedwetta, has so far been well received on his tour, playing to tens of people at teenage discos up and down the country.
According to music journalist Stewart Thompson, David Bedwetta is a safe bet for any would be promoters and “wipes the floor” with Guetta on more than one level.
“I think the main thing that David Bedwetta has over Guetta is that he’s a lot less well known,” explained Mr. Thompson earlier. “So you don’t have to hear about him, see him or hear his music at all.”
“He also didn’t have a promising career as an underground music producer twenty years ago,” continued Mr. Thompson. “So we’ll never be disappointed with him or call him a sell out for flushing his musical integrity down the toilet to make some forgettable trash for a quick payout.”
“Guetta’s already done that so Bedwetta’s just clinging to his coattails for an easy ride,” claimed the journalist. “It works well because Bedwetta knows he’s just a novelty act for children’s parties, whereas Guetta still thinks he’s a talented music producer and he continues trying to convince the world of it by relentlessly releasing the same old crap over and over again.”
“It’s not just musical advantages that Vendetta has over Guetta either,” suggested Thompson. “There’s also the obvious difference in price. While most promoters would never be able to afford Guetta, you can get David Bedwetta to play your club for about forty quid and a bag of chips. Plus there’s the fact that he’s not actually French, which is a massive bonus, and if you think Geutta’s hair is nice wait until you see the other lad’s, he’ll make all the girls jealous with his silky golden locks.”
