English garage-hip hop crossover act, Dizzee Rascal, was lucky to escape injury last night after falling off a busy London roundabout.
Dizzee, real name Dylan Mills, was playing on the roundabout with a gang of youths in a Bow playground when he became overconfident and let go of the bars before being slung to the tarmaced ground.
One eyewitness claimed Dizzee Rascal was a “silly billy” for letting go of the roundabout because “[her] mommy says that’s very dangerous”.
“He’s got a bit of a bump on his knee and a slight graze on his elbow but other than that the only thing hurt was his pride,” explained manager Leroy Green. “He’s a very lucky boy because the roundabout was going really fast, he could have done himself some serious damage.”
“Dizzee loves going back to Bow and hanging about with kids in the playgrounds where he grew up,” continued Green. “He likes to show off a bit and act like the big man but he needs to understand that playgrounds can be very dangerous places, even for a thirty year old, hopefully, after this scare, he’ll act more responsible and try to set a good positive example for the kids he’s playing with.”
Onlooker and mum of three Samantha Burgess, described the scene, “Well I didn’t actually see Dizzee Rascal falling off the roundabout but I heard the screams, it sounded like a banshee but it didn’t last long, the big fella went over and picked him up, then it looked like he kissed his knee better and the crying stopped.”
“After that Dizzee just ran off and went down the slide a few times before jumping into the sand pit. He was fine. Bless his cotton socks,” she added.
According to sources close to the MC, Dizzee had to sleep in manager Leroy Green’s bed that night after he kept having nightmare about falling off the roundabout.
