DJ Left Devastated After Facebook Status Snub

Australian DJ, Marcus Flynn, has been left devastated and considering his future after a Facebook status he posted received no likes.

Flynn(23), recently broke onto the Melbourne house scene after playing a warm up set at the city’s Circus Nightclub in August. Since then he has enjoyed a relatively successful period with his Facebook fan page now having over two hundred and fifty likes.

The post, which read, “People should be more careful about what they say, what’s funny to one person can hurt another,” was posted at five o’clock on Tuesday and was removed later that night.

Mr. Flynn explained his ordeal, “The last few months have been totally awesome, ever since the Circus gig things have really been picking up for me,” he explained. “I’ve had so many people like my Facebook page. I’m actually a bit of a local celebrity, when I’m out with my friends they all know who I am, it’s totally fucking bonza mate.”

“I noticed a couple of weeks ago that whenever I posted something on Facebook that loads of people would like it and respond, even when it was just something stupid,” he continued. “So I started to use it to massage my ego. I’d say things that made me sound real sensitive, you know for the sheilas. Or else I’d put up something really cryptic so people would think that I’m smart, it was brilliant. Up until last Tuesday that is,” he said with his head in his hands.

“I thought what I wrote would go down really well, there was something in there for everyone but no one was responding. I sat there for hours constantly refreshing the page but nothing happened,” commented the distressed DJ. “I even started checking Twitter and other online sources to see if Facebook was broken or something like that but it wasn’t. Then I stood looking at myself in the mirror, crying, wanking and reassuring myself that I am a good guy and that people do care about what I have to say, but to be honest I’m not even sure if I believe myself any more,” he spluttered dejectedly.

“I had to remove the post, it would of been a constant reminder of my own shallow existence otherwise. I don’t know what I’m going to do now, I feel so normal,” he said disgustedly. “I haven’t even been able to use Facebook since, my fans must be devastated.”
