A dog who has over one hundred thousand followers on Instagram has reportedly been signed to Spinnin’ Records.
Toby the dog, a.k.a. Tobesto, has been labeled “the next Martin Garrix” by label executives who see the dog as “EDM’s great hope” and the “future of electronic music”.
“Tobesto is easily one of the most talented individuals we’ve ever signed here at Spinnin’ Records,” confirmed A&R boss Michel de Woost. “He can sit, roll over, stand up, shake hands, speak and he knows where to go to the toilet. Of all the DJs we’ve ever signed; Hardwell, Afrojack, Martin Garrix and Tiësto, none of them were able to do any of those things when we first got them so he’s already head and shoulders above the rest.”
“His DJ skills still need to be developed quite a bit, as in they’re nonexistent, but he’s at about the same level Hardwell was when he first came on board with Spinnin’ and we managed to turn him into the world’s number one DJ so, at this stage, that’s nothing to worry about,” continued de Woost. “For now, all we need to do is get him a fresh haircut and a good social media manager and then just watch the money roll in.”
According to reports, Tobesto’s first release on Spinnin’ Records will be a remix of Martin Garrix’s Animals, set to titled the “Dog House Remix”.
