The latest news from the clubbing industry suggests that clubs in Dublin, Ireland, are now a complete sausage fest.
In what is being described as the “strangest crossover since Bruce Jenner decided he wanted tits”, Dublin’s nightclubs have teamed up with the country’s sausage manufacturers to bring a series of clubbing-BBQ nights to Ireland’s capital.
The latest craze, known by industry insiders as Clubbqing, is set to kick off this bank holiday Sunday in the city’s Opium Rooms nightclub, with DJing sausage enthusiast Doorly providing the tunes for Doorly’s Sausage Fest.
“Clubs and BBQs are a great place to meat people,” joked Doorly during an interview with Wunderground earlier today. “Did you see what I did there? I said ‘meat’ instead of meet. Honestly, I crack myself up. If I wasn’t such a wizard on the decks I’d probably have been a stand up comedian.”
“Sunday’s going to be an absolutely smoking night. I’m really fired up for this one,” he continued puntastically. “I’m going to be dropping, and cooking, some absolute bangers so you should definitely come along and get mashed.”
“I’ve designed the entire menu myself,” revealed Doorly. “It’s all musically themed, so if you come along you’ll be able to have burgers like the Grubfire, the Maya Jane Coleslaw, the Annie Bigmac, the Hot Sauce 82 or, the pièce de résistance, the Doorly Dog.”
