American music experts are claiming that a new, more aggressive and unsuitable for children, sub genre of EDM, known as gangster EDM, is set to replace gangster rap as America’s most feared form of urban music in 2016.
Experts have attributed the rise of Gangster EDM to a number of factors including the growing popularity of EDM in underprivileged neighbourhoods and the various EDM-hip hop crossovers, such as trap and crunk.
“When EDM first reared its ugly head it was a predominantly white, middle class phenomenon,” explained Warren Garland of the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. “But now we’re seeing the music filter its way through to the tougher neighbourhoods where gang activity is high and they’re developing their own brand of EDM.”
“It’s practically the same as normal EDM only instead of having vocal samples that are sung melodically by an EDM diva they have guys boasting about how many people they’ve killed or talking in a derogatory way about women,” continued Warren G. “They’ve also replaced all the snare drums with automatic weapon fire and the rhythm is now the bass and the bass is the treble, plus all the big drops feature the sound of actual bodies hitting the ground.”
Garland also revealed the rise of gangster EDM has seen a new brand of EDM artist emerging who see the genre as their “only way out of the hood” and are willing to go to any lengths to achieve that goal.
“There are a lot of upcoming gangster EDM artists who are going to take the scene by storm over the next 12 months,” claimed Garland. “But they’re not just any geeks of the street, guys like David Ghetto, Afro-crack and Steve AK-47, who actually throws grenades into the crowd during his shows, are relatively unknown at the moment but they’re sure to be household names this time next year. Those rich white kids are really gonna love this gangster shit.”
Warren has warned local authorities that they need to step in and regulate gangster EDM, which has so far been confined to the Eastside of the LBC, to prevent the country being overrun by gun wielding EDM producers.

Unfortunately this shit already hit the market as g-house. Basically hip-house made by Paris apartment kids raised with milk and pears.
