Martin Garrix has announced that he is to have a brand new state of the art security system fitted to his tree house after burglars broke in and stole a number of items earlier this week.
Garrix, who was paying a gig in Mallorca when the break in happened, reported that a number of “important items” including “laptops, action figures, a number of toffees and some marbles”, at his house in Ibiza.
“I feel like I have no choice but to have the a new security system fitted,” claimed Garrix earlier. “I just don’t feel safe in my tree house anymore. Knowing that a stranger has been inside it and looked through all of my stuff is really unnerving.”
“My treehouse should be my safe place,” insisted the Dutch EDM star. “It should be where I go to get away from my parents, talk to my pet frog and read comics but it just doesn’t feel like that anymore. I won’t be able to be comfortable in there until the new system is in place.”
“I’ll also be installing a safe to keep all of my best stuff in,” continued Garrix. “The burglars took so many of my favourite things, my GI Joe men, my matchbox car collection, two titty mags and about twenty euros worth of sweets all gone. I want to make sure nothing like this ever happens again so from now on I’ll be being extra careful.”
Reports that the burglars also stole a hard drive containing a number of unreleased tracks produced by the Dutch teenager have been rubbished after it was confirmed that Ibizan burglars have good taste in music.
