Miley Cyrus: ‘I Wasn’t On Drugs, I Just Wanted To Impress My EDM Heroes’

Miley Cyrus has moved quickly today to deny that she was under the influence of drugs during her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, in Brooklyn last night.
Cyrus has come under much scrutiny this morning after a raunchy performance of her hit ‘We Can’t Stop.’ The seemingly disheveled, former Hannah Montanna, star was seen ‘twerking’ with fellow performer Robin Thicke on the Barclay Center stage. Cyrus has also received criticism for using references to ‘Mandy'(MDMA) and cocaine during her performance, which were beeped out by MTV during its broadcast of the awards ceremony.
The singer responded to critics today, “I wasn’t on drugs at all, I just wanted people to think I was. It was an act, I mean for God’s sake I’m not Britney Spears or Amy Winehouse,” explained Cyrus, 20, “I really want to break into the EDM scene. It’s become so popular and I just love Deadmau5, Skrillex, Steve Aoki and the rest of those guys, not David Guetta though, his stuff is way too commercial for me,” she continued.
“I was hoping that if one of those guys thought I was a slutty, junky, they would want to do a collaboration with me. Did people really think I was seriously twerking on Robin Thicke. Eww, he’s like 36 or something that’s totally gross,” claimed Cyrus.
It seems that her efforts may be rewarded after it was rumoured that representatives from Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records inquired into Cyrus featuring on an Aoki track.
.
I find it laughable that she says she wasn’t on drugs in comparison to the other 2 yet she has made a point to let us know “”I don’t think people have a hard time understanding that I’ve grown up. You can Google me and you know what I’m up to — you know what the lyric is saying.” (dancing with molly)
Can’t have your cake and eat it too Miley.
