A young woman who has recently come out of a relationship with her boyfriend of six months is set to change her Facebook profile picture from one featuring herself and her boyfriend looking “loved up” to one of her enjoying a night with friends and “wearing that dress that shows off her boobs”.
Alice Maxwell decided to make the decision to change the profile picture after her ex-boyfriend Steven made a similar change to his profile picture following the young couple’s break up which they’ve described as “mutual, but more mutual for him”.
Reports from Alice’s circle of friends indicate that she won’t go all out and completely delete every photo of her and Steven on Facebook as they will try to remain friends, but that a change of profile picture is definitely in order.
It is Alice’s hope that the new profile picture presents her in a good light by showing her having a good time with friends while looking good and highlighting that she is taking the break-up really well.
It is not known yet whether Alice will make some cryptic status updates referring to the relationship and how she is looking forward to spending some time with her “girlos” but most believe that that is set to happen probably over the weekend.
“Alice just wants to show everyone and Steven that she’s over the relationship and ready to reconnect with the friendships that matter most to her,” confided Alice’s BFF Lisa. “With this profile pic change we think she’s accomplishing that while also looking happy and sexy.”
“It’s basically the photographic equivalent of M-People’s Moving On Up,” concluded Lisa who says that Alice is hoping that the photo change will get “loads of solidarity likes from her female friends, but also some admiring likes from male friends, not because she’s ready for anything yet but just to show Steven that she’s still desirable to other men”.
The profile pic change is expected to happen sometime this afternoon after Alice chooses between “the one where we’re in the queue standing in a line with our hands on our hips and pouting” or “the one where everyone is leaning towards the camera and you can’t see the cigarette or drinks in her hand”.
