Former Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello has broken his silence on claims that he has been operating fraudulently by admitting that he’s surprised he got away with it for so long.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Wunderground, Angelo revealed that he has done “a lot” of fraudulent things in his life but claimed he is not worried by the thirteen million dollar lawsuit filed against him.
“You’ve heard the Swedish House Mafia right?” asked Angello lightheartedly. “So you know I’m a fraud, we all are, the whole project was based around taking advantage of people’s stupidity to make some money. It may not have been the most moral thing in the world to do but it doesn’t make me a criminal.”
“To be honest with you I’m surprised that I’ve gotten away with this for so long and that it hasn’t come out before,” continued Angello. “There are so many fraudulent things I’ve done in my life, none more so than the music I’ve played and produced, but I’m not ashamed of any of it, I’ve always pinned my colours to my chest and I’ve got nothing to hide, if some schmuck want to sue me he’s more than welcome to try, I know I’ve got nothing to worry about.”
Wunderground also caught up with Angelo’s former band member Axwell to find out what he thinks of the legal proceedings, “Well I don’t know much about that, but I have just got a brand new pet goldfish,” he bizarrely answered. “His name is Roger and he’s really good at Swimming. So was my last goldfish but he fell into my belly, that’s why I got a new one. Do you want to see how high I can jump?”
While it is not yet clear what the outcome of Angello’s trial will be, one thing that is for certain is that Axwell has the brain capacity of a four year old, more on this as we get it.
