Tomorrowland Lineup Chosen By Randomly Booking Every DJ Alive

In a rare insight into the workings of one of the world’s largest dance music events it has emerged that dance music behemoth Tomorrowland undergoes a detailed and expansive booking policy that involves “just randomly booking everyone”.

“It’s a complicated process,” offered chief booker for Tomorrowland Bryan Taylor. “You spend months researching acts, whittling down your choices and then you just have to take the plunge, be prepared to stand by your decision and just book everyone who’s available.”

Bryan explained how during the selection process for Tomorrowland he might “randomly put my finger on the top spot of the DJ Mag Top 100 countdown a book that person before incrementally scrolling down in equal distances and randomly booking everyone that my finger lasts on, I usually stop around the number 100 by which time I’ve booked a super exclusive total of 100 acts”.

“This year we’ve got some big surprises and really great acts,” he continued. “You know DJs?? We’ve booked all of them to play.”

Speaking to Wunderground up and coming DJ Martin Garrix expressed his utter joy at being one of the select hundred odd DJs set to play the massive two weekend festival. “I’m just absolutely gobsmacked and delighted to be playing. It really is special to be chosen specifically, like everyone else.”

“The process of choosing acts is often quite complicated,” concluded Bryan. “We’ll input all the names of all the DJs and dance acts that we’ve liked throughout the year into a machine that randomly picks names then just press ‘select all’ and book whoever the computer tells us to.”

“Often that’s every DJ alive,” he added.
