Underworld’s European Tour To Be Sponsored By Zimmer Frame

Underworld old age pension

It has been confirmed that Zimmer Frame will sponsor electronic music giants Underworld on their upcoming European tour, having also agreed deals with the Chemical Brothers, Faithless and Prodigy over the next two years.

On the back of recent tours with The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash and Barbra Streisand, the globally recognised brand of walking frame for the elderly is expanding into the electronic music sector.

“We are delighted to be working with Underworld” said Zimmer Frame spokeswoman Ethel Pennysmith. “Our objective at the beginning of the year was to maximise sales to the over sixties as well as break into the dance music scene; so by collaborating with Underworld we believe this venture will maximise revenue and deliver results. We cannot wait for this tour to kick off and will have company representatives at each venue offering free consultations to anybody who is struggling to walk.”

Zimmer Frame faced stiff competition from Saga Holidays, Stannah Stairlifts and Werther’s Original, but won the contract after Underworld duo Karl Hyde (58) and Rick Smith (56) visited their store and were blown away by the product range.

For the past five years Karl blamed the lack of dancing in the crowd on people taking too much ketamine and standing there like the walking dead. However, following some market research it came to light that it is simply a matter of the audience consisting of old age pensioners refusing to hang up their dancing shoes rather than idiotic youngsters overdoing it.

“We cannot wait to play our new tracks to our fans and believe working with Zimmer Frame will offer most of them the chance to throw some shapes without the risk of injury” said Karl. “I am blessed to have been part of this act for almost thirty years and by getting involved with Zimmer Frame it offers something back to those who have followed us from day one.”

“Throughout the nineties, people were taking ecstasy and going wild to our records” Rick told us. “In the naughties the audience were a bit more reserved. Nowadays you can tell they are into it, but just not moving freely enough. We understand that sometimes a hip might pop out of place or the old legs give up on you, and that’s where our sponsor can really help.”
