Following news of his recent application for bankruptcy, rapper 50 Cent, is to release a follow up to his seminal debut album entitled Get Rich Again Or Die Tryin’.
40-year-old Queens native, 50 Cent real name Curtis Jackson, was at one point estimated to be worth at one point over $200 million but has filed for bankruptcy after blowing the money on Beluga caviar, classic Renaissance art and antique 50 cent coins from the Mesopotamian Empire.
“I need to release this album, there’s a fire in my belly that ain’t been there for years,” Jackson explained to reporters. “Mainly it’s to do with settling debts and being sensible financically rather than a burning desire to get up outta the ghetto.”
“It’s basically just the same album, except written from the point of view of someone who had already been rich but is now scrimping on flash until they get their finances clear,” he added. “So instead of finding me in the club with a bottle full of Bud you’ll find me at home, drinking discount beer and eating cold beans from a can while figuring out what assets I can sell.”
“I’m hoping that with the album I’ll be able to get rich enough to just pay off my debts and live a modest life within my means,” he continued. “That’s all that I can ask for really, I don’t care what you heard about me but I no longer a motherfucking P.I.M.P. I’m a motherfucking T.I.T.L.E 11.”
Curtis claims that the album, which will feature such titles as High When I Can Afford It, Poor Lil Rich, Like My Style I Bought It At Target and In da Shed, will be released in the next financial year.
