“If I Put The Decks Against This Wall The Neighbours Won’t Hear A Thing” Thinks Man Planning Party

A man planning a party tonight has come to the groundbreaking realisation that if he sets up the decks against the far wall in his kitchen – the furthest point in the house from his neighbours – then no one on the road will hear a thing.

In the past Darren Blunt has not taken any care or consideration with regards to where he sets up the music at his parties and this has led to numerous complaints from the neighbours on one side – the other side is occupied by a couple who he believed are either “deaf, dead sound or sessioners themselves”.

“The wall in the kitchen near the microwave is the furthest point from the people next door,” explained Darren. “So with say forty feet of floor space, a door and a wall between me and the neighbours kitchen they shouldn’t hear the music too much.”

“I don’t know why I never though of this before, it’s literally genius,” he added before comparing his decision to position the decks where they’ll make the least amount of noise for moany neighbours to the work of Albert Einstein.

The counter beside the microwave offers many advantages as a DJing desk in that there’s plenty of space for laptops and controllers, a plug socket in the wall in front of the DJ and no risk of anyone knocking into it – a factor that needs to be considered when you have a table.

“The only real downside with this set up is that I have to face the wall for the whole thing with everyone dancing behind me, sort of like Boiler Room except there’s no voyeurs watching me and people are actually dancing,” he explained.
