Sasha & Digweed Set To Adopt An African Orphan

Sasha and Digweed have shocked the music world today by announcing that they are set to adopt an African Orphan.

Making the announcement at a press conference in New York, the duo, who had been expected to announce a new mix album, revealed that they are to travel to Africa later this month to find a suitable candidate for adoption.

Following in the footsteps of Hollywood A-listers like Madonna and celebrity couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt the DJs believe that adopting an African Orphan is the best way to gain commercial success, and the lucrative paycheck that comes with it, in the North American market.

Wunderground caught up with the pair earlier, “After seeing the Forbes list of the highest earning DJs we were a bit pissed off really, how can people like Calvin Harris and Avicii be making so much when they’ve contributed so little to the scene?” questioned an upset Mr. Digweeed.

“Yeah it’s just not fair!” added Sasha. “Myself and John have worked hard to drive this thing forward for years now, we’re the ones who deserve the big money not those little gimps. So it’s time to get drastic.”

“We knew we’d have to do something really big to break into the North American market,” continued Digweed. “We get a lot of exposure in South America but what we’re looking for now is some solid norther exposure.”

“We were thinking of releasing another mix album or even going on a world tour,” explained Sasha. “But that would involve a lot of hard work nad we’re sick of hard work. What we want is quick success without the effort, just like the EDM DJs.”

“We’re not willing to go down the selling out, releasing sub standard music and basically becoming dicks route that the likes of Harris and Avicii have taken,” added Digweed. “So we came to the conclusion that the next best thing was to adopt an African orphan.”

While it is not clear which of the DJs the adopted orphan will live with, experts are predicting a significant improvement in lifestyle for the selected child.

Experts are also confident that the adoption process will help propel Sasha and Digweed into the Forbes highest earning DJs list in 2015. This could lead to DJ adoptions becoming popular amongst the world’s elite DJs with one expert even suggesting that DJs may choose to adopt each other, with rumours already emerging that Calvin Harris is planning to adopt Steve Aoki early next year.
