The raver concept of PLUR (peace, love, unity, respect), has been abandoned by the EDM community in favour of money and bullshit.
For close to two decades hippy ravers have tried to adhere to an idea of what dance music is all about but have seen that admittedly noble attempt undermined by money and needless bullshit.
“I used to follow PLUR and enjoy dance music on those terms of inclusiveness and fun,” admitted 27-year-old bass head, Sam Moreland, “but that was before EDM got super huge in America, superstar DJs and money ruined it.”
“I have friends who only follow certain DJs because of their dickheadish offstage persona,” he added. “If there isn’t a clickbait article about a DJ saying something about another DJ then he probably won’t have heard of him or her.”
Now, according to experts, dance music fans are more interested in being seen drinking champagne in the most expensive VIP areas while image conscious DJs all play the same sets before bitching on Twitter.
“Did you see Diplo drink that water that costs like $40k?? That was tight, he’s an awesome DJ,” gushed one modern EDM fan. “And that other time when some SJW bitch gave him shit online and he told her to get fucked, he’s a legend.”
“Me and my bros all love dance music, I go to the club all the time and drop a couple of grand on champagne,” he concluded. “I buy all the merchandise for my favourite DJs and wear it to the gym, dance music is so tight.”
