Video has finally opened up over its alleged murder of The Radio Star, more than three decades after first being accused by The Buggles.
In a revealing interview, Video has admitted that it conspired with ex-lover MTV to kill The Radio Star for many years.
“I was tired of The Radio getting all of the attention, while I had to settle for Top of the Pops” says Video. “But then I met MTV and he changed everything for me.”
“He had all of these crazy ideas, like non-stop music videos all day every day, celebrity death matches, and a reality TV show which follows Ozzy Osborne around on his lifelong come down while continuously cleaning up dog shit around his house.”
The seed of the murder was planted in 1981, following the fruition of MTV and Video’s private affair coming into the public eye. “Our plan was to kill The Radio Star slowly, just let it rot away over a number of years – by the 90’s we knew we’d have most of The Radio Star’s fame and fortune.”
Not all went to plan however, after The Buggles publicly accused the couple of The Radio Star’s murder during MTV’s own broadcast: “Yeah there were accusations thrown around, but nobody seemed to care at the time,” continued Video.
With The Radio Star eventually out of their way, MTV and Video were enjoying a ‘long and beautiful relationship’ up until a fateful night in 2007 when MTV met the Kardashians.
“There was no room in MTV’s life for both me and that family of attention seeking, celebrity hanger-ons” said a bitter Video. “So I left MTV for my bit-on-the-side, Youtube, and we’ve been happy together ever since.”
