Father Ted Inspired DJ Tchami Plays The Specials Ghost Town For Entire Set

French cringe inducer DJ Tchami has revealed that his entire career is inspired by the hit Channel 4 comedy series Father Ted after playing The Specials’ track Ghost Town for an entire two hour set.

Tchami, best know for being a gimmick whore, played the set as a tribute to Father Billy O’Dwyer, a.k.a. The SpinMaster, who played a similar set in the episode Think Fast, Father Ted.

“I absolutely love Father Ted,” claimed Tchami earlier. “I’ve been wearing the priest collar for the last ten years as a tribute to the show. People are always asking me ‘hey are you actually a priest?’ or ‘are you connected to the catholic church?’ but the truth is it’s nether of those things, I really don’t know why anyone would want to be associated with a bunch of child molesting fear mongers like the church, that would just be stupid, I purely wear the collar because it’s my favourite show”

“The collar was never meant to be a permanent thing,” continued Tchami, real name Martin Bresso. “I dressed up as Father Jack for Halloween in 2006 and it just kind of stuck. You’d be surprised by how comfortable these things are and they actually keep the front of your neck really warm. I can’t even imagine leaving the house without it now.”

“There are some other benefits too,” admitted the nonce impersonator. “I rarely have to pay on buses, I get a great deal on bread and wine, I can pretty much smuggle cocaine onto airplanes without any risk and nuns are totally crazy, what happens in the convent stays in the convent, you know what I mean?”

According to reports, Tchami’s Father Ted inspired set cleared the dance floor in approximately forty five minutes, half an hour longer than his sets usually take to empty a dance floor.
