The world’s first ever cannabis hospital is set to open in Amsterdam later this year, it has emerged.
The hospital will not only be the first to exclusively use cannabis products to treat disease and injuries but it will also be built using byproducts of the cannabis plant.
“We’re very proud to be developing the world’s first fully green hospital,” claimed the Dutch Minister for Health Edith Schippers. “This will once again prove that the Netherlands is one of the most forward thinking and modern nations in the world and we’re sure that, with the introduction of this new take on health care, we’ll soon have a health system that is envied by all of our neighbours, both in Europe and beyond.”
According to Wunderground’s Dutch correspondent, Paddy de Vries, the Department of Health has received a “record-breaking” number of job applications for the cannabis hospital.
“It seems like almost everyone in the country is interested in getting a job in the cannabis hospital,” he told us earlier. “There has reportedly been thousands of applications for every position, most of which have been made by people under the age of twenty one who are totally unqualified for the the roles they’ve applied for.”
Nineteen year old Jake Doyle, from Dublin, Ireland, claimed that it his dream to move to Amsterdam and become a “hash doctor”.
“I’m really hoping to get the job,” claimed Nolan. “I’ve got a degree in the University of Life and I roll the best three skinners out of all of my mates so I’m hoping that’ll be enough to get a foot in the door.”
Sources have confirmed the hospital, set to be named Bob Marley General, will open in September.
