In A bizarre turn of events, Los Angeles based DJ and producer Skrillex, was seen handing out pairs of cotton socks to party goers at a recent gig in Las Vegas’, Daylight Beach Club. Patrons could be seen walking around bemused with pairs of socks in their hands and were left baffled by this generous but somewhat confusing gesture by the performer.
When quizzed about the incident Sonny John Moore (Skrillex) responded, ‘I’ve been touring the EDM scene in Europe constantly for the last 6 months and the best party I ever played was in Dublin, Ireland. I heard people afterwards saying it was such a good party because they were giving it socks!’
‘So when I got back to the States I looked around to see if any clubs here were giving out socks, when I found out they weren’t, I just thought, hey, that would be a great way to make my show original and take my live performances to the next level.’
Here’s what Skrillex’s fan, Carlos Unt, had to say about the DJ’s unconventional actions, ‘Wohhoooo!! Yeah!! Skrillex gave me tube socks, Wow!! What a show!! Wohhhoooo!! Yeah!! Skrillex rocks, I love EDM!! U.S.A., U.S.A. Woooohhhoo!’
