Sven Väth & Phil Mitchell Launch ‘Right Said Fred’ Tribute Act

Eastenders’ favourite bad boy, Phil Mitchell, has announced that he is set to team up with German techno legend Sven Väth and form a Right Said Fred tribute act.

The unlikely duo will undergo an intensive training camp, where they will learn to “sing out of key and shake their tushies”, before embarking on a fifty stop tour of the UK and Ireland.

“I’ve wanted to do a bit of a Right Said Fred tribute tour for years now,” claimed the actor, who legally changed his name from Steve McFadden to Phil Mitchell in early 2015. “Originally, I wanted to do it with Grant, but there was just too much family history there to be going on a tour, we probably would have ended up killing each other, or worse still bumming.”

“A good mate of mine, you might know him actually his name’s Ian Beale, told me about this DJ he likes,” continued Mitchell. “His name’s Spen Bath or something, I’m not really sure, but apparently he’s a fucking ringer for Fred so I got in touch and it turns out he’s actually a huge Right Said Fred fan and agreed to do it straight away.”

“I had a look at his picture too and he’s perfect. His head has the exact same shape as Fred’s and there’s just something about the way the light reflects off it, it’s going to be like singing beside a human disco ball, I can’t wait for this tour.”

Sources close to Väth have confirmed that the DJ is “uber glücklich” about the tour and is looking already started looking for a loan of a hairbrush so he can practice the lyrics in the mirror after he showers.
