An apprentice plumber from Manchester, England, has been left extremely disappointed after his first experience of working in a boiler room.
Pete Galloway (19), revealed that he was delighted after being told he would have to work Saturday in order to do a job in the boiler room, “I was chuffed, I’ve been watching the Boiler Room videos for the last couple of years. They’re proper mint.”
However, Galloway, who admits that he’s “not really into plumbing” and only does the job because his “dad’s a plumber”, confirmed he was “fucking devastated” to discover that he was due to work in an actual boiler room rather than working at an intimate gig with one of dance music’s biggest names.
“I couldn’t believe it, I’m not too smart when it comes to plumbing lingo because I’ve only started my apprenticeship and to be honest I’m not really all that interested in it,” confessed Galloway. “I always thought boiler rooms were places you went to dance awkwardly close to DJs and pose on camera or possibly a room with lots of kettles in it in places where they make lots of cups of tea like hotels and restaurants and things.”
“I was fucking sickened when I arrived to find a smelly, filthy, dark room full of crappy old machinery,” he explained. “I’d been up since five o’clock in the morning doing my hair and I wore a brand new shirt, which was ruined within minutes of walking into the place, only to find there was no cameras, no DJ, no drinks and no girls. The closest thing I seen to cleavage in a low cut top was a fucking builders arse hanging out the back of his trousers. For fuck sake!” he angrily recounted.
Mr. Galloway is set for further disappointment after expressing his excitement at the prospect of working on a brand new project in a warehouse in Manchester’s docklands next week.
