Black T-Shirts Steal Show At This Year’s International Music Summit

Black t-shirts have stolen the show at this year’s International Music Summit in Ibiza.

The item of clothing was the most discussed thing at the conference, with approximately 90% of panels, seminars and workshops revolving around the humble upper body garment.

“I’ve just come from the ‘How To Black T-shirt’ seminar and it was totally awesome” claimed conference delegate Colin Hicks. “I never knew there was so much work involved in wearing a black t-shirt and, needless to say, I’ve been wearing mine completely wrong for years. It’s been a real eye opener for me.”

“I’m going to have to hit the shops and buy some new t-shirts because I really wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing a black t-shirt after going to that seminar,” continued Hicks. “Not until I’ve had at least a couple of months practice. Navy and dark grey will have to do for now. I’m going to the ‘Black T-Shirts in the 21st Century’ panel later on so I’m hoping I can pick up a few tips there too.”

According to experts, a good black t-shirt can be a hugely influential factor on a DJ’s career.

“A well fitting, stylish black t-shirt can really make or break a DJ these days,” explained Oliver Schmidt, owner of Black Tees Berlin and moderator of the “100,000 Things You Didn’t Know About Black T-shirts” panel. “According to our research, a good black t-shirt could be worth twenty places on the Beatport chart and a 30% increase in appearance fee.”

“I personally think that a good t-shirt can be even more beneficial than talent. It’s like the old saying goes ‘if you’ve got a nice black t-shirt you’re sorted’, or something like that.”
