Boards Of Canada Set To Telepathically Transmit New Album Directly Into People’s Heads

Scottish ambient techno duo, Boards of Canada, have announced ambitious plans to use telepathy to play new album, Tomorrow’s Harvest, straight into people’s heads.

This latest in a series of promotional stunts will allow the band to utilise state of the art military technology to transmits brain waves that will replace a person’s thoughts with a broadcast of their new album.

The album, equipped with the safety warning that it may ‘shatter your ego’ and ’cause you to lose all sense of yourself’, is set to be transmitted from an orbiting satellite tomorrow.

‘We just felt the album wasn’t getting enough exposure so we needed to do something drastic. Sure we orchestrated a massively viral online treasure hunt involving hidden codes, passwords and subliminal messages but people have the option of not paying attention to any of that. That’s simply not enough for us,’ explained band member Michael Sandison.

When concerns were expressed about the safety of the telepathy device and the implications for the sanctity of individual private thoughts, Sandison scoffed, ‘Everyone always says “people are entitled to their own thoughts” and “you can’t magically invade someone’s mind for the sake of an electronic music album”, I say that those people are closed minded.’

‘And not in the sense that they can escape our album streaming directly into their heads’, he laughed.

The album is due to begin streaming into your brain at 9pm GMT tomorrow June 11th.
