In a horse racing exclusive, cocaine dealers have been revealed as the “real winners” from this year’s Cheltenham Festival.
While it is often believed that the bookies are the only real winners when it comes to horse racing, a new report has indicated that no matter who is winning at the end of each day, drug dealers are the people who really benefit from the racing.
We caught up with an industry insider earlier today, “Everyone at these festivals, from the punters to the trainers, the owners to the jockeys and the bookies to the horses, is on the bag,” explained our source. “It’s the perfect setup for dealers to come in and clean up, by the time the dust has settled they’re the real winners in all of this.”
“Think about it, you’ve got all day drinking, copious amounts of money passing between hands without anyone taking any notice and a large percentage of wannabe upper class morons who think wearing a three piece suit, drinking champagne and doing coke qualifies them for an OBE,” continued the anonymous insider. “It’s a cocaine dealer’s dream.”
In recent years, it is believed that upwards of twenty kilos of cocaine has been sold by dealers during the Cheltenham festival.
London based dealer Tim claims he travels to Cheltenham every year with the sole intention of selling drugs, “Every year I pack up and head to Cheltenham for the full festival,” he told us. “Everyone thinks I love horse racing but I don’t know anything about it, I’m just there to sell beak. I could make anything up to twenty grand over the four days.”
“I always hang around the bookies stalls, you’d be really surprised how much someone who’s just won a couple of grand is prepared to pay for a gram of shit coke. The only bad thing about Cheltenham is that I can’t physically carry enough coke to sell while I’m there.”
