“Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man Actually Overhead Image Of A Backbreaker” Claims Historian On Ecstasy

Leonardo Da Vinci is renowned for inventing a vast array of modern contrivances.  His list of creations include flying machines, the parachute, the submarine, the hipster beard, the Rampant Rabbit, Batman (but not Robin), ice cream, the Power Point presentation and the first ever DJ controller.

A new study by Dr. Philomena Wolfenschnitzel of the University of Schweinsteiger, which was performed late on Saturday night at a friend’s house while on a particularly strong ecstasy tablet, has shown that he may also be responsible for the first “Backbreaker”, a rush which is performed by lifting ones’ friend /drug buddy/complete stranger you just met in a club onto ones’ back and leaning forward while balancing them as best you can with your drug addled frame.

The revelation came when Dr. Philomena decided to render a 3D image of the infamous Vitruvian Man using “ultramodern computerisationalised graphicalisation techniques” to show that there are in fact two men in the drawing, not one octopedal splayed man, as was the belief for centuries.

The man underneath is said to be balancing the other, better known man, on his back in an effort to give him “the best rush of his fucking life” according to Dr Wolfenschnitzel.

The doctor further claims that Da Vinci was no stranger to wild nights out on drugs, citing his crazy inventions, his backwards writing and obnoxious hipster beard as proof.

Other historians have disagreed with her appraisal of the image, claiming that it is in fact a representation of mathematical proportions inherent in nature.  Dr. Wolfenschnitzel says this is just “crazy talk”, however admits that there may have been an error in the reading of the image.

“The techniques we used are relatively new,” she said.  “It’s the first time I’ve tried taking ecstasy with a shit load of 2CB.”

Dr. Philomena concluded by claiming that she plans to undertake more research in this condition to discover if there are other hidden drug messages in popular art suggesting that Edvard Munch’s The Scream may be a man coming down and that Rodin’s The Thinker is actually a man “coming up hard”.
