DJ Who Talks Shit On Twitter Talks Shit About Fellow DJ Who Talks Shit On Twitter For Talking Shit On Twitter

Two DJs, who are well known for becoming involved in Twitter feuds, have become embroiled in a Twitter feud after one accused the other via Twitter that he was always talking shit via Twitter.

The feud, which lasted 12 tweets and is expected to boost the popularity of both DJs, started last night when US DJ Slink claimed that EDM DJ, Norwegian Techno Cosa Nostra, wasn’t “keeping it real” and was always “acting like a foolish child on Twitter” when he bad mouthed another DJ for “having a stinky head”.

“I only use Twitter for promoting my music, interacting with my fanbase, keeping track of the news and talking shit about other DJs,” explained DJ Slink. “So when I see DJs talking shit about other DJs on Twitter it just strikes me as whack and phoney and I gotta say something passive aggressive and childish.”

“Twitter is all about getting the chance to hear from your fans,” chimed Norwegian Techno Cosa Nostra, “and talk to them about what you’re doing, what tracks you’re playing, and who in the industry you think is a prick.”

“I made some silly remark that I thought Livemau6 had a poo-poo head and Slink just jumped on it and we got into a back and forth like children fighting over a ball,” he continued. “But it was cool because both of our profiles are kind of waning so we needed the boost.”

According to both DJs they’re actually quite friendly in real life and the Twitter feud was something that they’d pre-arranged as a contrived argument to increase both of their profiles.

“Yeah people think we’re enemies but that’s just the Twitter image that we project when we need to create some publicity. It’s a great way to get quick exposure if you have a track coming out or your career needs a bit of an injection,” explained Slink. “Sometimes I’ll just talk shit about someone even if I haven’t got a track coming out just for the attention, I love it.”

“Normally I let the DJing do the talking but I also like to let my mouth do the talking too and Twitter is perfect for that,” explained Norwegian Techno Cosa Nostra. “So I might say something to one of the other DJs like ‘you’re being childish bro, airing your grievances in public ain’t cool, put it away dude, you’re embarrassing yourself.’ The hope is that, if you haven’t arranged it earlier, that your target DJ replies, you trade some non-committal, vague insults and you get featured in a Mixmag piece on the biggest feuds in dance music.”
