UFC fighter Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor was involved in a heated altercation with EDM DJ Zedd in Las Vegas’s XS nightclub while celebrating his emphatic win over fellow featherweight fighter Dustin Poirier last night.
McGregor is believed to have been upset by the “sub-par, journeyman EDM weak shit” the DJ was playing and approached the DJ box to ask Zedd to play some “wild and ready, warrior music” for him and his crew.
The Russian-German EDM producer is understood to have “urinated heavily in his pants and around the DJ booth” after a short confrontation with the Irishman before finishing off his set with a mix of tracks from The Notorious B.I.G, Dropkick Murphys, Sinead O’Connor and Luke Kelly.
Wunderground caught up with the Dublin based fighter earlier today, “These EDM DJs walk around this city like they’re the undisputed kings of Las Vegas but these guys have never come across someone like me before,” scoffed the Irish warrior.
“Last night I went into battle in this town and me and all these other beautiful Irish soldiers you see here stormed every goddamn building in the place,” he continued. “We’re not here to have fun, we’re hear to take over and I’ve got a message for all of these has-been EDM DJs, I’m the new king of Las Vegas. You guys just don’t compare to someone like me.”
“I’m here in my custom made Louis Copeland suit. You guys haven’t got any style, you can’t dress like me, you can’t move or dance like me and you sure as hell can’t pick tunes like me,” claimed McGregor.
“Last night in XS I had to ask the DJ to change the god awful EDM nonsense that he was playing,” explained the self proclaimed leader of the “new generation of fighting Irish”. “At first he refused but then I gave him a valuable lesson in human movement. Fighting and dancing are very similar, it’s all about human movement and as you know there’s no one who knows more about human movement on this planet than me,” claimed the unbeaten UFC fighter.
“I just showed this guy some of my capoeira moves mixed with a bit of reaching for the lasers and he was reduced to a pants pissing mess in a matter of seconds,” continued McGregor. “He’s never seem someone move like me before and that’s because there is nobody else who moves like me, whether I’m fighting or dancing it doesn’t matter I just stay calm and let my moves do the talking.”
“He was terrified there was going to be boxes, but I’ve won my fight, I’m here to have a good time,” added MrGregor. “The only boxes I was throwing was cardboard boxes,” laughed McGregor while performing a top display of ravey hand gestures.
Unconfirmed reports from Las Vegas suggest that a number of high profile resident DJs have cancelled shows in fear of McGregor attending, with one DJ stating that it’s “just too hard to incorporate Irish folk music into a pre-recorded EDM set”.
