An EDM fan is North Dakota has been left utterly confused after hearing about a DJ giving a live performance.
Amanda Brewster was in way over her head while talking to a work colleague about Bulgarian electronic musician Kink’s Boiler Room set.
“So I got talking to Andrew from accounts earlier on, he’s so cute, and he started asking me if I was into clubbing,” explained Amanda earlier. “I told him ‘sure I know all the clubs and DJs’ I even got a bit of Steve Aoki’s cake in my hair last year in Vegas so I think I’m pretty knowledgeable when it comes to clubbing.”
“Then he started talking about some guy called Krink from Brolgrania or something,” continued the confused office temp. “I don’t really think he knew what he was talking about because he asked me if I’d seen his ‘live’ Boiler Room performance.”
“I’ve heard of the Boiler Room before,” continued Amanda. “It’s when all the really lame DJs, that don’t even get to play at Electric Daisy Carnival, play a set in some crappy little basement in England but I don’t get how a DJ can play a live performance.”
“The EDM comes out of the decks and computers so how could he be playing live?” queried Amanda. “What was he playing it on a guitar or something? It’s so stupid but I didn’t want to hurt Andrew’s feeling so I just smiled and nodded.”
“We’re going out for coffee next week. Maybe I’ll bring him to see David Guetta and show him what EDM is all about.”
