A recent survey has revealed that the Burger King restaurant situated within Ibiza airport is the most popular restaurant on the entire island.
Conducted by Good Food Weekly magazine (GFW), the survey was taken to provide stats for a feature on the best restaurants tourists have visited over the course of the summer. However, the Editor of GFW is said to be “absolutely appalled” by the winning choice, and is willing to “hand her notice in” if she has to write about Burger King.
“I got into food journalism as a way to indulge in the best cuisine across the world for free,” announced Katrina Malloy, Editor of GFW. “I thought this survey might see me invited to an exclusive restaurant where I will be wined and dined, pay absolutely nothing, behave like some sort of rock star and then boast about it to my friends. The fact Burger King ranked top of the pile is absolute bollocks. No way am I reporting on this.”
The survey recognised the likes of SA Capella, Bambuddha and Amante as popular choices – all of which are ranked as five star. However, Playa Den Bossa’s KFC and San Antonio’s Doner King were also part of the top ten, demonstrating holiday makers really don’t give a shit when it comes to being drunk and hungry.
“I suppose the fact that every single person who has even been to Ibiza pays a visit to Burger King on their way home goes a long way in this survey,” continued Katrina. “I just assumed one of the nicer places to eat, where wonderful service is provided, would have come out on top. Not an overcrowded fast food joint, full of people sweating and dying across the tables having got on it too much. I guess there’s no accounting for the taste of some people.”
