A man who swallowed a Roland TR-808 drum machine, during a bizarre dare game, has reportedly taken up beat boxing.
Maurice “Mo” Barrett, is believed to have swallowed the piece of equipment during a game of “can you swallow?” with a group of his friends at an early morning house party during the summer
“It was really early in the morning, we’d run out of drink and the offies hadn’t opened yet so we were really bored,” explained Mo during a catch up with Wunderground. “We made up this game called ‘can you swallow?’, it started off with a couple of pills but eventually got a bit ridiculous.”
“I swallowed a drum machine, someone else swallowed a chair and my old lady swallowed a fly, I don’t know why she swallowed a fly, perhaps she’ll die,” he continued. “We only stopped playing when people started trying to swallow each other, nobody wants to bathe in someone else’s stomach acid so it felt like the right time to call it a day.”
“After a few days I realised that I wasn’t going to shit this thing out, it’s part of me now and it’s really growing on me. I’ve even started beatboxing. Check it out,” claimed the man who performs under the name Mo’ Beatz while opening his mouth and creating a perfect digital beat. “I wasn’t able to do that before I swallowed the 808, now I’ll just need to swallow a synth and a turntable and I should be able to do a full show.”
“I’ve also been developing a Stephen Hawking comedy tribute act,” claimed Mo. “It’s gonna be the world’s first sit down comedy routine, I just need to swallow an old sat nav to help perfect the voice.”
