Nicky Romero To Sign Record Six Figure Sponsorship Deal

Nicky Romero is set to sign a record breaking six figure endorsement, which will see him unveiled as the international face of cheese production for 2014. The Dutch DJ and producer is a known cheese enthusiast and has also been making his own cheese in his bedroom since he was a young a man.

Romero recently spoke of his love for the dairy product, “Cheese was my first real passion in life. It started when I was just a little squirt, my mother would give me huge chunks of Edam to keep me quiet, now here I am three years later and I’ve never grown sick of it.’

The ambassadorial role, will see Romero, real name Nick Rottevell, make a number of appearances at international conventions run by the organisation, Cheese Retailers, Affiliates and Producers or CRAP as they’re commonly known.

“I’m proud to be so closely associated with CRAP and cheese in general, hopefully it will be the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership between the EDM community and CRAP,” proclaimed a proud Romero.

With over twenty million metric tonnes of cheese being produced globally every year, Romero, pictured above at a cheese making class, with instructor and self proclaimed ‘King of Cheese,’ David Guetta, is sure to be in for a busy 2014. Although he has made assurances that it will not effect his busy touring schedule. “It’s not like I’ll be the first DJ to be touring with CRAP or churning out cheese, I’ll have plenty of times to play my shows in between, cheese production isn’t exactly a time consuming hobby.”
