The search for a missing headphone jack has now entered its fourth day. Volunteers began searching the bedroom of the small London flat where the jack was last seen.
The headphone jack was reported missing shortly after a house party last weekend, with the search now moved to areas of the sitting room and kitchen.
“We’re appealing to anyone who was at the party and who may have some information as to little jack’s whereabouts to contact us immediately,” said Stewart Nelson, search coordinator, earlier. “His owner is beside himself with worry, he hasn’t been able to use his decks and he’s had to watch porn with the volume almost all the way down ever since.”
When last seen, the jack was wearing a silver sweatshirt with a black collar and black trousers, he has a 6.3 mm head and an exposed 3.5 mm hole in his bottom.
“At this stage, we’re beginning to lose hope of finding jack in the apartment,” continued Nelson. “It’s possible that he may have got thrown out with the rubbish, fell down the side of the sofa or even got abducted on the end of someone else’s headphones. We’re not ruling anything out at the moment.”
“A number of volunteers, who should have fucked off home ages ago but are still here dragging the arse out of the session, have been helping with the search,” he explained. “Even though we haven’t had any sightings of jack, we have found a lump of hash, half a pill and approximately £11 so it’s not all bad news.”
“We’ll probably give it one more day and if he hasn’t shown up we’ll just use some of the £11 we’ve found to buy a new one.”
